WHAT TIME DOES TRICK OR TREAT START AND BEGIN?
DID YOU KNOW
Americans really started to get into Halloween trick or treating around the 1930’s, but it wasn’t until the 1950’s that wrapped candy was passed out. Before handy dandy store bought candy there were popcorn balls, candied apples, cookies, cakes, oranges, nuts, and even coined money. The first known wrapped candy to be passed out was Baby Ruth and Butter fingers in 1951. In 1953 Dubble Bubble gum was introduced to offer for Halloween. The ad read, “TREAT THE KIDS THIS HALLOWEEN WITH DUBBLE BUBBLE”. The year after that Milky Way candy Bars came out with, “Haunting Flavor of a three layer treat”.
YOU ASK” WHEN DID THE HOMEMADE TREATS BECOME A THING OF YESTERDAY”?
Good bye home made. It all stopped when the stories of an alleged tampering with the treats on Halloween hit the news stand.
TIMES TO GO TRICK OR TREATING
Since Halloween is on a Tuesday this year the question is “WHAT TIME DOES IT START AND BEGIN”?
The answer is “It depends”. Yes it all depends on the child and if an adult is taking them. Ideally the best time is 6:30-8:30 (THERE IS SCHOOL TOMORROW)
Now if you have little ones who have bed times before 8:00 the best time is 5:00-7:00.
Don’t forget to make sure that everyone has eaten dinner before they leave for the adventure. By filling the bellies it will help to refrain from eating the candy. (WE USE TO GO TO MCDONALDS JUST TO GET A PUMPKIN HAPPY MEAL)
Don’t forget to check the weather before the kids start their adventure. In Florida who knows what we are up against.
